Our tips

Viewing towers

The Jizerské Mountains are one of the most beautiful tourist regions in Bohemia. You can spend a pleasant holiday here, either in summer or in winter. The plateau of the Jizerské Mountains invites walkers, bikers and skiers to make trips here. Our mountain hiking will be even more pleasant if we visit the Jizerské Mountains lookout towers and other points of distant views. Unlike in the Krkonoše Mountains with their barren plains, high hills and ranges offering distant views, the Jizerské Mountains with their deep forests and rocks almost miss any lookout points like that. Therefore at the end of the 19th century the Jizerské Mountains tourist clubs started to build lookout towers, which was then considered a very prestigious effort. We can say that almost all of them were raised at the same time but some of them have already disappeared over time. We suggest that you visit some of these stone or iron beauties...
