Our tips

Bramberk

At the end of the 19th century a 16-metre high wooden lookout tower was built above Lučany village 797 metres above sea level but it did not last long. It was severely damaged several times, there was no money for the necessary maintenance and thus the lookout tower was soon out of order... Its present successor was built according to Robert Hemmrich's design in 1912 and is 21 metres high. It is a robust granite structure, which, thanks to its design, survived the severe weather in the Jizerské Mountains without being repaired very often. This attractive place invites a lot of tourists all the time. Not far from Bramberk there are two other lookout towers and these three make a kind of triangle which is a very suitable for a short trip. Try visiting all of them. The tower is usually open and the key is available in the adjoining lodge.

The viewing tower Bramberk and the rastaurant are closed in present.
