Špičák

The peak of Špičák (809 m. above sea level), towering between the villages of Albrechtice v J.h., Jiřetín pod Bukovou and Tanvald, is a traditional viewpoint of the near-by surroundings. There was a restaurant built in 1886 which burnt up in 1905. The first rock-based observation point was built here in 1889. The hill had to wait for a real lookout tower until 1909. It was called "Frank-Joseph the First's Jubilee Lookout Tower" and only a year later a new chalet was added. Today's shape of the whole structure is from 1930. Let us enjoy a beautiful view of the Jizerské Mountains, Krkonoše, the whole Černostudniční Ridge and the Josefův Důl valley together with the reservoir.
