Běliště – an ethnographic museum
Běliště is the largest timber-framed structure in Železný Brod and dates back to the year 1807. Each of the nine rooms of the timber-framed structure focuses on a particular part of the history of Železný Brod and its closest surroundings (a reconstructed bakery with a furnace, a trough, and a spatula for moulding dough - also featuring richly-carved wooden gingerbread moulds; painted furniture, town and rural clothing for special occasions, wooden nativity scenes in boxes, and models of burgher houses). One of the most popular attractions for visitors is a functioning barrel organ with nine tunes. This can often be heard at the museum to this day.
