Korálek historic pressing shop

A historic exhibition that offers the chance of trying out hand production for yourself. This is a technical/historical monument protected by the state.

When visiting "Korálek" be sure and have a good look round the functioning technological equipment of the glassmaking workshop, including glassmaking tools, pressing tongs, and other implements. This is the way they made glass beads or pressed buttons by hand some 150 years ago. The tour is full of practical demonstrations and explanations. You can also try your hand in a practical demonstration of how to make lamp beads.

However, you do need to agree on your visit in advance as it is fairly time-consuming to heat up the coal pressing furnace.
