The Kristiánov glassmaking memorial

This is one of the highest altitude museums in the Czech Republic, housed in a one-time inn for glassmakers called "Liščí bouda" (Fox Cabin). It is the last maintained building of the former glassmaking settlement of Kristiánov, which was founded during the 18th century by the Riedel family. Visitors can have a look round an exhibition entitled "Kristiánov - the Key to the Heart of the Jizera Mountains (1775-2005)" and see a wooden model of the former glassworks complex. There is also a small cemetery in the former settlement in which the remains of the owners of the glassworks are buried.
