Day 6: “Harrachov”

A - today we're off to Harrachov by bus from Jablonec. There is a mining museum approximately 1 km from the central car park here ( www.ados-harrachov.cz, tel.: +420 602 603 739) and here you can put on a helmet and an overcoat and head off to explore the centre of the earth. You might also like to see the hand production of blown and cut glass at the company "Novosad a syn" (book in advance, www.sklarnaharrachov.cz, tel.: +420 481 528 141), sit in the restaurant with a micro-brewery, or buy some handmade glass in the shop. Increase the adrenalin levels by taking a ride on the bobsleigh track (around 1 km from the centre, www.bobovka.cz, tel.: +420 602 389 534) or clamber around the rope centre ( www.lanovecentrum.cz, tel.: +420 603 777 255). This is all found on the trail from Harrachov to Kořenov (we recommend travelling to the rope centre by car).

B - you can follow the same programme if you are travelling by car. What is more, you might like to stop in Albrechtice along the way or head to the top of Tanvaldský Špičák Mountain by chairlift ( www.tjbizuterie.cz) and visit the Špičák viewing tower at the top (tel.: +420 483 381 601).
