October will be one of the great glassmaking industry in the Jizera Mountains — and three unique events are waiting for you right away, connecting tradition, art and experiences for the whole family.

✨ Josef Riedel's Crystal Legacy in Hejnice (11/10/2025)
The first year of the event dedicated to the glass king of the Jizera Mountains. In Hejnice you will find creative workshops, demonstrations of working with glass, sales of original products and the opportunity to try glass blowing at the mobile Florián smelter. Last but not least, you can also look forward to an engaging talk by curator Petr Nový about the Riedel family.

✨ (th) Day of the Glassmakers (13—19 Oct 2025)
A week full of events across the country will mark the International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage as well as the UNESCO listing of handmade glass production. Open studios, demonstrations of traditional and modern production, exhibitions, workshops and sales stands will offer a unique opportunity to see the world of glassmakers.

✨ Crystal Valley Weekend (18—19 Oct 2025)
During the two open days, you can visit dozens of glassworks, studios, museums and schools. The premises will be open from 9 am to 5 pm, and a varied program will be prepared for you, thanks to which you will discover the beauty and diversity of glass crafts.
