Seasonal tourist routes are open usually from December 25 and offer you a convenient connection to the most attractive places of the Jizera Mountains.
Transportation to the Jizera Mountains in winter is ensured by a dense network of train and bus connections, which travel wherever infrastructure and nature protection allow. Public transport is therefore an ideal choice for all those who want to go cross-country skiing, ski resorts or winter walks without worrying about parking.
All connections are part of the IDOL integrated transport system. Transfer fares apply here — one ticket can be reached from anywhere within the Liberec region. It is convenient to pay by card or through the Idolka application. Current timetables are available on the website iidol.cz also in connection search engines.

The Jizera Mountains are easily accessible by public transport. The main entry points are Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou and Tanvald, from where you can easily transport to other parts of the mountains or directly from these cities to start your adventure in the Jizerky.

By train from Hradec Králové and Turnov
The train connection is with a transfer in Rychnov near Jablonec n. N., from trains from Hradec Králové and Turnov to city bus 101 in the direction Kokonín — Jablonec — Janov — Bedřichov.

Tanvald is not such a prominent junction of various connections to the mountains, such as Liberec and Jablonec. However, unlike them, it has a direct train connection with Prague.
By train from Prague and Turnov
From Prague Central Station, ARRIVA express trains, line R21, go through Turnov, Malá Skála and Železný Brod to Tanvald, where trains are connected to Desná, Kořenov, Harrachov and buses to the eastern part of the Jizera Mountains. The journey takes approximately 2 h 35 minutes.
By bus from Prague
Bus 900 of the line Prague-Černý Most — Harrachov goes to Tanvald via Jablonec n.Nis. in a 2-hour interval, in a shorter time than the train, about 1h 50 min, but not from the center of Prague.

The backbone track along the southern perimeter of the Jizera Mountains allows you to embark directly on hikes from its stations. The line connects Liberec with Tanvald and continues as far as the Giant Mountains and into Poland. It offers magnificent views of the Jizera Mountains and convenient connections to many tourist destinations. Riding this mountain trail is an experience. In addition, in Smržovka (train) and Tanvald (bus) there are options for transfers to the interior of the mountains (Josefův Dul, Souš, Horní Polubný). The track runs through a beautiful mountain landscape between Tanvald and Kořenov along the route of the gear railway.
Connection to the northern part of the Jizera Mountains. In Raspenava, the track is divided in the direction of Frýdlant and in the direction of Hejnice-Bílý Potok behind the unique landscape and nature of the Jizera Mountains.
The tram is already a traditional means of the city of Liberec, allowing connections up to the foothills of the mountains and below Ještěd and to neighbouring Jablonec.
Tram no. 11 Liberec - Vratislavice nad Nisou - Jablonec nad Nisou
The 1955 intercity line with attractive sections in the forests and along the Nisa allows embarkation into the mountains similar to train 036, especially from the stations Vratislavice-Church, Proseč n. Nis. -mail and brandl:

Horní Hanychov — Viaduct — Railway Station — Fügnerova, public transport terminal — Lidové Sady
The line connects Ještěd and Jizera Mountains. At the final station in Horní Hanychov, the marked paths leading to Ještěd and to the Ještěd ridge begin. From here, the summer bus 79 runs to the station Výřež and to the Ještědka parking lot (from May to the end of October) just below the top of Ještěd! In winter you can reach the Ještěd area with skis just below the slopes. At the opposite end, in Lidové saddy there is the entrance to the Liberec Zoo. At the same time, you can embark on hikes to the Jizera Mountains directly from the city, where the mountains and forest begin. For example, we invite you to the route:
From the stations Bedřichov, Maliník and Bedřichov, the stadium offers hikes to the central part of the mountains + in winter there start maintained cross-country tracks across the entire Jizera Mountains.
Bedřichov, the stadium is the most frequented stop with tourist use in Jizerky. From here, the routes:
Buses depart from Frýdlant mainly in the direction of Hejnice and Smědava. From Liberec you can switch from train to bus at Smědavu in Hejnice.
Jablonec is located in the mountains. The rugged terrain of the city passes directly into the Černostudniční ridge and the winter here is harsher than in Liberec. And city buses run directly to the mountains and mountain resorts in the own Jizerky: to Janov, Bedřichov, Hrabětice, Horní Maxov, allowing you to embark on excursions and hikes from higher places.
