Kristian, a former glass-making settlement at the foot of the Black Mountain, today attracts visitors not only with its atmosphere, but also with the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellery. In the middle of the forests you will find a renovated log house called Liščí bouda, in which you will learn more about the life of the local glassmakers, the history of the settlement and the production of glass costume jewellery. The exposition is complemented by interactive elements, a model of the settlement and entertainment programs for children, which draw into the story of the ancient glassmaker Lišák.
Looking at the tiled stove makes you go back to the past, but you can also be excited by the pleasant seating and the nature trail that will take you to the place through the picturesque scenery of the Jizera Mountains - and tell you something about what it used to be like here. Glass settlement Kristiánov is an ideal stop for all those who want to experience the fusion of crafts, nature and stories of the past in Jizerky.
