The Jizerskohorské beech National Nature Reserve is the largest protected area in the Jizera Mountains and at the same time one of the largest in the Czech Republic. It extends on the northern slopes of the Jizera Mountains and occupies an area of approximately 27 square kilometers. Its uniqueness is evidenced by its inclusion in the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage List. Thus, the Jizerskohorské beechiny became the first natural locality in the Czech Republic to be included in the list.

Mysterious, peaceful, breathtaking, magical and inspiring are the Jizerskohorské beech trees. This important ecosystem of mixed forest with a predominance of beech trees extends on sloping terrain in which man has not left much of his mark. The Jizerskohorské beech forests are one of the most preserved natural places of the mountains. In July 2021, their two core parts, Merideník and Štolpich, were listed among UNESCO Natural Monuments. The UNESCO World Heritage Site and its protection zone occupy an area of 634 hectares.

In addition to the preserved forest stands, the area of the reserve is also rock formations of various shapes and rock towers, rocky outlooks providing romantic views of the surroundings, waterfalls on mountain streams or monuments Reminiscent of all sorts of events. Most of these attractions are located on the territory, which is a UNESCO natural monument.
