If you want to stay dry and warm - it is ideal to go for culture. In the Jizera you will find many museums and galleries that stand out for their expositions. In Liberec, on the so-called Golden Cross, there are two institutions focused on art. One of them is Gallery Lázně Liberec, located in the building of the historic city baths - some elements from the spa era have been preserved here to this day. Enjoy not only modern and historical art, but also the magnificent spa architecture!
North Bohemian Museum MUSE is located on the other side of the Golden Cross, opposite the mentioned gallery. Here you can visit not only various permanent exhibitions, but also short-term exhibitions - and you will also get to the museum tower, which is a copy of the tower that was in the original Liberec City Hall! A unique work of art by the Salanský brothers is installed in the museum tower — the almost thirty-meter glass ladder Climax Paradisi. Not only will the panoramas of Liberec and its surroundings open to you, but at the same time you can see the longest glass ladder in the world.
At the Golden Cross you will not only find art, there is also a huge part of the history of technology. You can visit here Technical Museum Liberec, which boasts four pavilions of various exhibits. Both lovers of glamorous car veterans and admirers of historic trams and buses will find their way here. In other exhibitions there is also a unique collection of bicycles and historic cable cars!
Walking along Masaryk Street, you can walk from the Golden Cross to Botanical Garden Liberec. It is the oldest botanical in the Czech Republic and ranks among the oldest in Central Europe. During rainy days, you can transfer yourself to tropical rainforests, among succulents and cacti to American deserts and or to prehistoric nature, among plants experienced by dinosaurs in the Paleozoic and Mesozoic. The exhibits include aquariums, aviaries and the largest and most colorful collection of water lilies in the republic!

Jizerky really has a lot to offer car enthusiasts - you can go for the smell of gasoline and the beauty of veterans in AUTOMOTO Museum Lučany. The exhibits include Italian supersports cars Lamborghini and Ferrari, Czech legends such as Tatra 12 Sport and Metalex cars. One part of the exposition is also dedicated to the memory of the famous Paris-Dakar rally. The museum also has an excellent bistro, where you can sit with a cup of excellent coffee or have a bite to eat.

In the Jizera Mountains you will find places where time stands still and you can slow down, take a breath and enjoy even this atmosphere – in the comfort of mountain wellness centres and spas.
