The old pilgrimage route to the temple

For centuries, pilgrims have followed the miraculous Madonna to Hejnice — today they Old Pilgrimage Route vacationers go for the tranquility of the forest, beautiful views and history.

The blue marked route leads from Oldřichov in Hájý, where you will find the House of Nature of the Jizera Mountains with an interactive exhibition, a zoo and programs for the public. The journey through the mountain saddle takes you through the forest past rocks, monuments and stories of ancient pilgrims to the pilgrimage site headed by the Temple of the Visitation of Our Lady in Hejnice.

Thanks to the train connection, you can enjoy the trip comfortably even without a car. It is especially beautiful in spring and autumn, when the surrounding nature plays with all the colors.
