Smrk Lookout Tower

On the highest mountain in the Czech part of Jizerek, there is a 23-meter-high steel observation tower, which is accessible all year round. In good weather, you can enjoy breathtaking views of a radius of 150 kilometers, and next to Jizerek you can observe the Giant Mountains, Lusatian Mountains, Ještěd and Bezděz.

The observation tower is freely accessible all year round, and a small tourist shelter is located directly below it. It is accessible exclusively on foot. The peak's name comes from the massive spruce that once stood here before a strong storm upended it in 1790.
