Rock lookout Hajní Kostel

Rock lookout Hajní Church is one of those places in the Jizera Mountains that combine the beauty of nature and the magic of legends. It lies on the Massif of the Nední Stones and can be easily reached by marked routes from Bílá Potok pod Smrkem. Even if you expect a climb with an altitude of about 300 meters, the reward will be a view that is really worth it — to the valley of the river Smědé, to the Frýdlant region and the surrounding rock towers.

The name Hainskirche (German: Hainskirche) derives from the legend that the rocks here are the remains of a ruined church. Another legend speaks of pagan rites and mysterious sacrificial bowls in the rock, which were probably created by water. And if you are tempted by adventure, know that there is a treasure hidden here — but it can only be reached on Good Friday.
