Water tank Souš (Souš Reservoir) was built in 1911—1915 on Černá Desná above the town of Desná in the Jizera Mountains. Along the dam there is a road to Smědav, which connects Tanvald with Frýdlanstek, but it is only open during the summer months. In 1974, a water treatment plant was built here and the reservoir now serves as a drinking water supply for Jablonec and Tanvald. Swimming and fishing are prohibited and the surrounding area is strictly protected.
