On Friday, May 22, 2026, Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou will unite to offer dozens of open institutions, night views from towers, and rides in historic vehicles.

The Museum Night under Ještěd is a traditional and iconic annual event where culture comes alive in an unconventional time and atmosphere. This year's edition promises everything from underground depositories and guided tours of current exhibitions to creative workshops and concerts. The entire program is also connected by special routes of historic buses, trams, and trains, making the journey between the cities an experience in itself.

🏛️ Liberec: From Skyscrapers to Technical Marvels

In Liberec, the event invites visitors to explore many venues offering a rich program for families with children and technology enthusiasts alike:

  • MUZA | North Bohemian Museum in Liberec: It offers a night trail through the exhibitions, an ascent to the tower with the world's longest glass ladder, and tours of the underground depository.
  • Lázně Gallery: In addition to guided tours of Czech and international art collections, the former spa premises will resonate with the sound of the band What the Funk.
  • Technical Museum in Liberec: Technology enthusiasts will enjoy guided tours of the exhibitions, illuminated unique exhibits, and a concert by the REGNIS orchestra.
  • DPMLJ Depot: Transport enthusiasts can peek behind the scenes and view historic trams (until 7:00 PM only).

🏠 Vratislavice n. N.: World of Engines and History

Ferdinand Porsche's Birthplace will offer ongoing guided tours and a thematic exhibition dedicated to the legendary Austro-Daimler Sascha car. A quiz and a fun corner are prepared for children. This is also an ideal transfer point when traveling by historical bus.

This year, Jablonec is commemorating the city's 160th anniversary as part of the program:

  • Museum of Glass and Jewelry: It will offer the workshop "String Your City," glass sandblasting, and the current Glass and Jewelry Triennial.
