Prestigious construction Liebieg Palace is located near the Liberec Castle. Originally a classicist house by Ferdinand Römheld, it was rebuilt by the Liebieg family in 1871—1872 into a luxury villa with a garden and other associated structures. Gustav Sachers, a builder from Liberec, is behind the design of the villa. At first glance, his inspiration from the Northern Italian Renaissance can be seen. After World War II, the building served as a gallery; the first visitors were welcomed here in August 1946. The Liberec Regional Gallery was housed in the Liebieg Palace until 2014.
Currently, the building has undergone a very extensive renovation and is used as a federal house, which provides facilities for non-profit organizations, associations and individuals for their activities.
