Josefodol Dam is the largest and at the same time the youngest dam in the Tanvaldsko microregion. The building dates from 1976 - 1982. It is the largest valley dam in the Jizera Mountains. It has two embankments, frontal (length 720 m, height 43 m) and lateral, hold 23 million m3 of water. The reservoir is a drinking water reservoir for Jablonec, Liberec and Českolipsko. Water flows through the shaft to the treatment plant in Bedřichov.
