Jizerska 25

on XC skis

Try the ideal medium-demanding route for a brisk cross-country skiing trip with picturesque views and a pleasant sports experience!

About the trip

Jizerská 25 is a shorter but no less beautiful version of the famous Jizerská 50 and is great for everyone who wants to enjoy cross-country skiing in the Jizera Mountains without having to overcome the whole 50. The route measures less than 22 kilometers and starts at the stadium in Bedřichov — the iconic starting point of the entire Jizera highway. The first section leads through Nová Louka, where you can stop for tea or soup in the Šámalova hut there. Continue to Kristiánov, a picturesque place with a history of glassmaking, from where the road winds towards Bílé Buk. Here you will find a view of Holubník, one of the thousands of Jizerek Mountains, and from the Nová cesta you will also have a breathtaking view of the rocky Bird Clumps.

The route will then take you to Hřebínek — another great stop where you can relax and have a snack. After that, you will return via Gregor's Cross and Nová Louka back to Bedřichov. Thanks to its slightly undulating profile, the entire circuit is ideal for recreational cross-country skiers, families with older children and athletes who want to enjoy nature, views and pleasant movement in the fresh air. Compared to 50, the route is less demanding, but it still provides a varied experience with beautiful views, natural attractions and the possibility of stops. Whether you are driving fast or relaxing, Jizerská 25 is a route you will love to return to.
