Upstream of Černá Desná

Discover the breathtaking watercourses of the Jizera Mountains. On this route you will get acquainted not only with the history of the glass family Riedel, but also with the history of Desná.

The steps will take you to the waterfalls on Černá Desná, which will captivate you with various cascades, smaller and larger waterfalls, as well as typical rapids. You will also visit the Souš Reservoir, which today serves as a drinking water supply for Jablonec.

You will end the trip in a place where you will return back to history. You will be stopped at the ruptured dam on Bílá Desná. There is also a nature trail around the dam, which takes you back to 1916.
