The town hall building in Frýdlant symbolizes the strength of the then Frýdlant industry, as the owners of the local factories participated to a considerable extent in financing the construction. The author of the design of the town hall is the eminent Viennese architect Franz von Neumann, who is also behind the construction of the town hall in Liberec. On the 1st floor of the Town Hall there is a beautiful ceremonial hall, which is dominated by a brass chandelier and a stained glass window above the entrance to the balcony. The city museum has been located on the 2nd floor since 1909.
