The Devil's Prospect in Josefov Dole offers not only a beautiful view, but also a pinch of hellish legend
.avif)
In the upper part of Josefova Dol, above the upper course of the river Kamenice, in a locality called Peklo, rises Devil's Prospect a.k.a Devil's Stones (660 m above sea level). This rock formation, once known as sometimes referred to as the “Celtic Stones”, is steeped in an ancient legend. According to her, the devil left an imprint of his ass here, and after his hellish rampage, a fiery bird flew in, scattering boulders around the neighborhood.
The viewpoint, from which you can see the valley of the river Kamenice, the Josefodol valley and the dam of the Josefodol dam, is easily accessible via the red tourist sign or the Gustav Leutelt Nature Trail from Josefova Dol. Great place for a trip with a little mystery!
